Private Dog Training
If the classroom doesn’t suit your needs or schedule, private dog training sessions are your best option. In these one-on-one sessions with a certified trainer, we are able to address a variety of different behaviour concerns and develop a program tailored specifically to you and your dog’s individual needs. Sessions can take place either at our facility in east-central Calgary just off Barlow Trail, or in your own home.
* If you and your dog are dealing with extreme aggression, extreme prey drive, bite history (to dogs or people) or have a court case pending, please see the Behaviour Modification Program.
Start Right! Assessments
Not sure which training option is best for your dog? Get started with our Start Right! Assessment: a 30-minute private sit down to assess your dog’s behaviour and get your training started in the right direction. In this one-on-one session, we go over your dog’s current behaviour and your goals. We look at appropriate equipment for your dog’s needs and which class or private training options will be the most beneficial for you.
If you choose to register for further training upon completion of the Start Right! Assessment, you will receive 10% off your first group class or EdUPlay package purchase.

Behaviour Modification Trainer
Our senior trainer Jesse Attrill can help if you are experiencing:

Sessions are available at Chasin’ Tails or in the comfort of your own home.
During the initial consult your trainer will come up with a behaviour modification plan with your dog and assign your weekly training homework. Our focus is helping your dog to replace unwanted behaviours like lunging and barking with new calming behaviours like focusing on you for direction. You’ll also learn a systematic conditioning protocol to help your dog change the way they feel about triggers over the long run. By focusing on this two- tiered approach, we help manage problems until there is no longer any reason for the unwanted behaviours.

EdUPlay Private Transfer Session @ Chasin Tails
Is your dog participating in our EdUPlay Day School and /or the Free Play add-on’s?
If yes, and you are looking to learn the skills so you can continue their training at home, the transfer sessions are here for you. Book a 45-minute or 75-minute session to meet with the trainer at the facility, and they will show you what they have been working on with your dog and teach you the skill. Only one skill that has been worked during EdUPlay and Free Play add-ons will be focused on per session. Training your dog is a long-term process, and Chasin’ Tails want to help and support you along the way.
