Private Care Boarding Suites
At Chasin’ Tails, we acknowledge that not all pups will do well in our Free Play Open Care boarding. For those dogs, we offer our private care accommodations. This private dog boarding means that we can accommodate intact seniors and dogs with social restrictions. However, we are unable to accept human or dog aggressive dogs. Private care dogs must be able to settle in their environment. We offer a free assessment day to any local Calgary pups on their first visit.
Chasin’ Tails: The Safer Boarding Choice for Your Dog
With three different sizes of suites available, we can find the perfect space for your dog(s) to stay. Your dog will have private play time in our private care outdoor area with 5 romp/potty visits per day.
Caring Staff 24 Hours a Day: Our caregivers are dedicated, educated, and experienced in the diverse field of canine care. Our 24-hour supervision means that your dog is never left alone at night-time. Each day starts off with a pee break outside and breakfast for those who need it. During the day, dogs are individually checked over from head to toe to ensure they are staying healthy during their visit. Our high-quality kennels provide ample space and have with special trim to ensure cross contamination of bacteria is limited, and high-quality moisture and bacteria resistant floors that are easy to sanitize.
Comfy Beds: Our Kuranda orthopedic dog beds are a great option for your dogs. These durable, easy to sanitize beds offer firm, even support unmatched by any other brand. The use of our Kuranda beds is included in the cost of boarding, so there is no need to bring your dog’s bed from home!
Mental Enrichment: To ensure your dog is not bored when being boarded, we provide mental stimulation activities for our private kennel dogs in the form of food dispensing toys for meals and treats. We also highly recommend adding one of our add-on services to help enrich their day.
Turn Down Service: For a special added touch, you can choose from our large selection of individual treats to add after your pup’s dinner. Treats include Frozen Goat yogurt in 3 varieties, Plaque Buster dental chew, a Plato On the Go energy bar in 3 varieties or a sprinkle of Plato Baltic sprat. These yummy treats are available for a small additional cost. Choose any frequency from every night to every other night, etc.
Feeding: Our house blend (poultry and grain free) dog food can be provided for your dog, or we can feed a meal you bring from home at no additional cost. Please bag your dog’s food for each meal packaged individually in disposable packaging with your dogs first and last name written on the bag. We do not currently accept containers.
Medication: Our trained staff can administer medication at no charge. This excludes any type of injection. Each medication must be in original packaging with administration information provided at drop off.
Vaccinations: Dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations for Rabies and DHLPP (also known as D4 or DA2P). Puppies must have completed 3 sets of vaccinations (“puppy shots”). The Bordatella vaccine, in addition to lice/mite prevention, is highly recommended for any and all dogs who come into contact with other dogs. Titres are accepted.
Spaying/Neutering Requirement: Dogs who are staying in our private suites do not need to be spayed/neutered.
Medical Restrictions: Our goal is always the comfort and wellness of every doggy in our care. Our staff are all Pet First Aid certified and are trained in several common medical conditions to provide the best care. Not all medical conditions are able to be accommodated.
